Ace Sequencing Card - One More Blackjack Strategy

 

Ace sequencing card is basically another form of shuffle tracking. Shuffle tracking is a type of advantage technique in blackjack where the player would have to track the sequences of cards or certain cards through a series of the shuffles. The method is typically used in blackjack though it can also be used in other types of card games.

Games where there are simple shuffles are easier for shuffle tracking rather than the ones where complicated shuffles are used. For this reason, shuffle tracking is generally done in blackjack games with six or eight decks since they have simpler shuffle when compared to the pitch games.

What is Ace Sequencing Card?

Another technique which is very widely used by blackjack players today is ace sequencing. Ace sequencing is related to shuffle tracking. The technique is called so since it involves trying to determine when the aces would be dealt. If the player would be able to know when an ace would be dealt as his/her first card the advantage gained would be 50.43%.

This is so because the player has a 30% chance of getting a natural blackjack and a very good chance of just having a strong hand even if a blackjack is not dealt. However, ace sequencing is not really an easy technique to use.

How is Ace Sequencing Practiced?

For practicing ace sequencing the player would first have to know which segments in the discards are likely to appear quite intact even after the shuffle. The player would then observe the aces as they are placed in the discard tray. The player would also have to remember the 2 or 3 cards which are placed on top of the ace in the discard tray.

These cards are known as the key cards. Once the cards have been shuffled, the player would then have to look for the key cards. It is likely that the ace would follow these cards and the player would then be able to raise the bet in hopes of getting a good hand.

A player can be good at card counting as well as ace sequencing. However, in order to be good at ace sequencing a player would need a few extra qualities. The player would have to be a keen observer. Ace sequencing is believed to be much more complicated than card counting since it requires longer time and more focus. When used with card counting it can make for a very effective strategy.

Ace sequencing would require quite a lot of practice if the player wants to master it. There have been several professional blackjack players in the past who had mastered the skill and had also used it in casinos and had managed to win lots of money.
